Technical Recruiter

Interchain GmbH is centrally positioned in one of the fastest growing layer one blockchain ecosystems: Cosmos. Our work secures billions of dollars in value across a variety of projects and networks. We need to grow, fast, and we’re looking for someone to partner with our engineering leadership to make this happen.

Our ideal candidate has enthusiasm about blockchain technology, strong cross-cultural communication skills, and at least a few years of experience hiring engineers in backend and infrastructure roles.

More about us: Interchain GmbH is a 16-person company which works on core blockchain technology. We are based in Berlin, but we have teammates all over North America and Europe. We keep in touch through Slack and Zoom, and get together in person periodically (when COVID permits).

We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Proven work experience as a Technical Recruiter or Recruiter, ideally at a blockchain, cloud, database, or security company
  • High-level familiarity with blockchain technology and ability to communicate effectively with engineers about requirements for technical roles
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
  • Solid knowledge of sourcing techniques (e.g. social media recruiting and Boolean search)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to communicate effectively with candidates from a diverse range of backgrounds
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and labor regulations

We expect this person to collaborate closely with our engineering leadership, and to eventually build out a strong functional team to build out engineering teams for both Interchain GmbH and, eventually, Cosmos more broadly. However, we also have a lot of hands-on work up front to help build an initial hiring pipeline and onboard some great candidates!

Initial responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the General Manager to set key hiring objectives and results
  • Sourcing candidates through platforms like Stack Overflow, GitHub and LinkedIn
  • Ensuring that our hiring pipeline reflects the diversity of our communities, and effectively reaches candidates from underrepresented backgrounds
  • Screening engineering resumes
  • Handling initial calls with candidates, to both understand their abilities as well as to share a compelling narrative with them
  • Coordinating with engineering leaders with respect to department goals and hiring needs
  • Crafting and sending personalized recruiting emails with current job openings to passive candidates
  • Promote company’s reputation as a great place to work
